Gospel music that keeps me encouraged!
71Gospel Praise
Music has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I don't know if its because of my up bringing in church, but I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. You see I believe that there's a song in all of us. We were created to sing and dance. Well I began looking around at people ( I don't judge people but I do like to check out peoples' behaviors and personalities). That's when I noticed that most people are not singing or dancing. These folks seemed more uptight, low self-esteemed, boring, unfriendly, not smiling, just not encouraged about anything. So I decided that I would write a hub on what works for me to keep me encouraged. Gospel music keeps me encouraged!
I'm not a doctor or psychiatrist, like I said this is just what works for me, and everyone else is welcome to try it. (Who knows. It just might work for everyone). I feel everybody has problems, it is just a matter of how we handle them and what we do about them.. Music has a way of letting you know that people all over the world are going through the same things in life by the lyrics in a song. And when there are no words, the instruments can even rejuvenate you. Even the rythm and the beat can put you in an encouraged mood. I love all kinds of music, and It all depends on what mood I need to be taken to in the mind to determine what I listen to at that time. My three favorite are gospel, rythm and blues, and country. But when I want real peace of mind I always choose gospel, because music goes straight to the mind. Its like a good dose of medicine!
There are a variety of groups to listen to, as well as solo artists. It just all depends on whatever mood you want to be in. Just put it on and let it do what it do.The music encourages your mind and lets you know that if no none else in this world loves you, God does, and He is what matters. You can find music that makes you dance or music to help you relax. Some of the gospel music is played in the clubs here. I don't think people even know its gospel because the beat is so tight (ha ha).
People are always telling me, that I seem happy all the time. Im not always happy, but I know how to get happy. I don't like myself unhappy, so I have to encourage myself to be happy. Check out some of the other things I do for encouragement.
- Watch stand up comedy.
- Listen to funny messages from loved ones I saved on my answering machine ( I've got some humdingers).
- Watch a T-Ball game (The little ones are hilarious)
- Pull out funny videos.
This list is just a few of the things I do to stay encouraged, but listening to gospel music would be #1.

I love music of all kind but I especially love gospel music beause it inspires my soul. I enjoy Mary Mary as well as Vicki Winan. My testimonial song is "For Every Mountain".
I love going out spreading the gospel of Jesus through songs
I enjoyed your hub very much. I think music plays a major part in shaping our lives. I enjoy a lot of different styles of music. When it comes to gospel, the old standards are probably my favorite. I think my favorite gospel song of all time is The Lighthouse. :-)
fit4life, Wonderful hub! YES! Music is a language in itself, it goes straight past the intellect and goes straight to the heart!
You are right about everyone having a song in in their heart! I am so glad that you have discovered yours! Be encouraged as you encourage others! In His love & Blessings!
Hello fits4life, I'm a big gospel music fan. It lifts my spirit and makes me feel that I can handle whatever life throws at me. I try to listen to the words of the songs so that I can hear what God is saying. I must say that it helps me out a great deal. Great hub.

Loved this hub fits4life. It is so "me." I also enjoy music, particularly gospel and spirituals, but also classical and some rock. It really is how I get my main exercise. I like Mary, Mary as well.
Nice hub. Glad I stumbled across it.
Forever His,
